Global Technology Manager, Western Hemisphere Automotive Product Applications, Global R&D
Steve graduated from the University of Toronto in 1984 with a B.A.Sc. in Metallurgy and Material Science. After working at Fenco Engineers, a division of what is now SNC Lavalin, Steve joined Dofasco R&D in 1988 and spent his first ten years in the Cold Rolling group, primarily developing new high strength steel grades. In 1998 he transferred to the Market Development and Product Applications Dept. and has since held several positions of increasing responsibility managing different customer teams.
In 2017, Steve was promoted to the position of Global Technology Manager, Western Hemisphere, in the Automotive Product Applications Centre within Global R&D. In his new position, Steve has managerial responsibility for the Detroit based OEM's, the new Start-Up OEM's, Tier 1 suppliers and the Early Vendor Involvement group. He resides in the Hamilton, ON area and works out of the ArcelorMittal Dofasco office.
